David Beckham is 'very keen' to get involved in the first Miami Grand Prix next year after building an MLS franchise in the city, the race's managing partner says, as he promises big celebrity turnout

David Beckham could be one of many star names in attendance at next year's maiden Miami Grand Prix, according to the race's managing director.

Formula One struck a ten-year deal to stage the race on the south east coast, with the first taking place in 2022 in Miami Gardens, with a pupose-built track set to be built near the Hard Rock Stadium - home to NFL franchise Miami Dolphins.

Tom Garfinkel, who is heading up next year's race - and is also CEO of the Dolphins - revealed he had dinner with Beckham to gauge his interest in the race and said the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy star was 'very keen' on attending.
