Christian Eriksen scores his first goal for Manchester United in 4-1 friendly win over Wrexham at Carrington… with Cristiano Ronaldo watching on as £55m man Lisandro Martinez also starts

Christian Eriksen got off the mark for his new club as Manchester United ran out 4-1 winners against Wrexham in a behind closed doors friendly this afternoon.

Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez, who was officially announced as a United player on Wednesday afternoon, both started in the 2pm kick-off against the National League side.

Centre-back Raphael Varane and midfielder James Garner, a target for Premier League new-boys Nottingham Forest, also started the game.

Garner has only just recovered from a thigh injury and, after a limited number of training sessions, Ten Hag was keen to see what the 21-year-old could do after hearing of his impressive campaign on loan at Forest last season.
