Carrick: Sesko is a big talent

The Reds looked to be cruising to a 2-0 win, thanks to goals from Casemiro and Matheus Cunha, before we were pegged back by Raul Jimenez and Kevin, but a late Sesko strike secured all three points.

The boss said he is “so, so pleased” for Sesko, who was greeted with a warm reception when he returned to the changing room, having scored his fourth goal in his last four appearances.

Carrick also spoke about the importance of scoring late winners for connecting the supporters with the team, as the Reds moved back into the top four.
