Manchester United have been handed a boost in their hopes of signing Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio.
United are looking to improve their side late on in the transfer window as Erik ten Hag continues to overhaul the playing squad at Old Trafford.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Asensio has told the European champions that he is looking to leave the club, with Relevo reporting that this comes amid interest from several English and Italian clubs, including United who are leading the way for the 26-year-old's signature.

'Marco is looking at things to see if he can leave,' said Ancelotti (via Relevo), who won UEFA men's coach of the year yesterday.
