Bruno Fernandes 'was ready to LEAVE Manchester United over their involvement in the failed Super League breakaway' and 'railed against' its no-relegation concept

Bruno Fernandes threatened to push through a transfer request after he heard that Manchester United were one of 12 clubs that signed up to the proposed European Super League.

Fernandes has become one of the most important players in the Manchester United squad following his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020. However, the Red Devils were just one bad decision away from losing the Portugal international.

Fernandes and his team-mate Luke Shaw were said to be irate with the club's involvement in the breakaway competition and took some serious measures to ensure the United hierarchy understood their position.
