Brentford look set to pip Manchester United to free signing of Thomas Strakosha after his exit from Lazio with the Albanian goalkeeper 'undergoing a medical' with the Premier League club

Brentford look to have beaten Manchester United to the signing of goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.

The Albanian was a free agent following his exit from Lazio and United thought they had won the race for the 27-year-old last week as they sought out a replacement for Dean Henderson, who joined Nottingham Forest.

Strakosha had been in talks with Chelsea amid a potential move, with Thomas Tuchel seeing him as a replacement should Kepa Arrizabalaga leave the club. He was also in talks with Fulham.
