Barcelona 'shortlist five potential targets as they look to secure two loan deals until the end of the season' to bolster Xavi's squad amid financial woes

Barcelona have shortlisted five players for potential loan deals until the end of the season, according to reports.

The Catalan giants' well-documented financial woes have left them limited in the transfer window.

With reported debts of £1.15billion in August, Barca are unlikely to be able to welcome any new arrivals to the Nou Camp and are under pressure to reduce their wage bill if Xavi wants to change his squad.

New boss Xavi could therefore consider loan moves to bolster his squad while tackling the club's finances.
