Arsenal have reportedly made a bid for Atletico Madrid right back Kieran Trippier.
The 31-year-old, who was part of Diego Simeone's LaLiga-winning side last season, had been the subject of intense negotiations between Manchester United and Atleti.
However, The Sun have said that United having only offered £20million for the England international, a long way short of the Spanish side's valuation of £34m.
The Gunners' interest in Trippier is down to Hector Bellerin's impending departure, with clubs in Spain as well as Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen interested in his signature.
