Antonio Rudiger is to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place under Frank Lampard despite reported interest from former club Roma.
The 27-year-old had been linked with several clubs after being frozen out at Stamford Bridge - and his former club became the latest to have expressed interest just hours before the window slams shut.
But Sportsmail understands Rudiger does not plan to leave Chelsea on deadline day and will instead look to force his way back into the first team.
