Glorious chances for both Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in the final stages were well saved by Alisson in the hosts' goal to keep the final score at 0-0, while the Reds deserve huge praise for an outstanding defensive display which resulted in David De Gea having very little to do.
Luke Shaw, in particular, caught the eye, in defence and attack, and was the deserved runaway winner of our Man of the Match poll.
