'A turnover of £600m and can't buy the players you need': Louis van Gaal slams Manchester United for failing to buy his targets while he was in charge... claiming they went for his SEVENTH choice as he rebuilt squad

Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has slammed the club's transfer strategy after revealing they signed his seventh choice transfer target over his other preferred players.

The experienced Dutch boss replaced David Moyes at United in 2014 and spent two seasons at Old Trafford before being sacked.

In his first year in charge, United splashed out in the region of £150million on Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Falcao, Daley Blind and Angel Di Maria - whose brief stint was notoriously underwhelming.
