Yaya Toure hoping to sign pre-contract with a European club in January

Yaya Toure will look to sign a pre-contract agreement with another European club in January — with his agent claiming that Manchester City have lost African followers after Pep Guardiola’s decision to omit him from their Champions League squad.

The Ivorian’s future at City is over with Guardiola yet to select him even on the bench for a match this season and leaving him out of their 21-man squad to compete in Europe.

Toure — four-time winner of the African Footballer of the Year award — and his representative have made the decision to consider offers from Spain, Italy and France during the January transfer window to leave on a free when his contract expires at the end of June.
