West Ham boss David Moyes has revealed he turned down the chance to make an approach for then River Plate forward Julian Alvarez.
Moyes, speaking about players he has missed out on over his career in management, referenced Alvarez one that got away - revealing that a scout came to him a year ago telling him to sign for the young Argentine.
However, having looked at the player himself he decided to pass up on the opportunity. Alvarez signed for Manchester City in January last year before joining in the summer.
