Vincent Kompany said there was no reason why Manchester City can’t do “great things” this season after City won the Carabao Cup with a dominant 3-0 victory over Arsenal.

The Citizens were better throughout and took the lead on 18 minutes when Sergio Aguero out-muscled Shkodran Mustafi and clipped the ball over David Ospina.

Kompany then doubled City’s advantage early in the second-half when he diverted Ilkay Gundogan’s drive and wrong-footed Ospina sparking wild celebrations from the captain who has been dogged by injury in recent years.
