Verona 1-2 Inter Milan: Antonio Conte's side keep up the pressure on city rivals AC Milan in Serie A after seventh straight league victory with goals from Lautaro Martinez and Milan Skriniar

Inter Milan kept up the pressure on neighbours AC Milan when Milan Skriniar's header gave them a 2-1 win at mid-table Verona in Serie A on Wednesday evening.

Inter produced a lethargic first half before Lautaro Martinez volleyed them in front seven minutes after the break.

However, a defensive mix-up allowed Manchester City loanee Ivan Ilic to equalise for the hosts 11 minutes later.

But centre half Milan Skriniar gave Inter a decisive lead with just his fifth goal for the club

Skriniar, one of the players at fault for the Verona goal, made amends by heading Inter back in front from a Marcelo Brozovic cross in the 69th minute.
