Eliaquim Mangala looks set to return to Manchester City next season after being priced out of a deal to Valencia.
The 25-year-old is currently on loan at the Mestalla Stadium after falling victim to the Pep Guardiola exodus at the start of the season, joining Joe Hart on loan abroad.
Valencia reportedly have the option to make the deal permanent due to a clause in the defender’s contract.
However, according to Spanish newspaper Marca, the La Liga club have been put off the deal owing to the huge financial demands.
The clause requires a bid of nearly £30 million and the Spanish side simply cannot afford that fee.
