Tottenham confident that Harry Kane could return in THREE WEEKS after numerous 'positive' scans following double ankle injury in defeat to Liverpool

Tottenham are confident that Harry Kane will not be a long-term absentee following the double ankle injury he suffered in last week's 3-1 home loss to Liverpool.

The striker, 27, has had numerous scans and assessments since last Thursday with the outcome of those tests 'positive'.

It is hoped Kane could be fit to return to action within three weeks — but medics are understandably cautious about putting a definitive time scale on their talisman's return to action.

Nevertheless, the optimism regarding Kane will come as welcome news to manager Jose Mourinho following consecutive league defeats.
