Bayern Munich have insisted that defender David Alaba will not be used as part of a deal to lure Manchester City winger Leroy Sane to the club.
Sane has been on Bayern's radar for sometime, with a long-term injury hampering the chance of a move to the Bundesliga champions for the winger last summer.
City boss Pep Guardiola is said to be a huge admirer of David Alaba for his versatility in defence but the chance of a potential swap deal have been left dead in the water by Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
