Ryan Giggs won 34 trophies during a glitter career with Manchester United, but he could easily have ended up playing for rivals Manchester City had it not been for steward Harold Wood.
Giggs played for local team Deans FC who were coached by Manchester City scout Dennis Schofield and he recommended the winger to the club's school of excellence.
But Wood, who worked as a steward at United's training ground and Old Trafford, spotted the youngster playing and told Sir Alex Ferguson he had to take a look at him.

'I was always a United fan, I played for City because my Sunday league team manager was a City scout,' Giggs told Manchester United's official club podcast.
