Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder accuses Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola of being 'selfish' over five subs rule and slams their complaints about hectic schedules as 'b*****ks'

Chris Wilder has accused rival Premier League managers of being selfish after Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola insisted clubs should be allowed to use five substitutes.

The Liverpool and Manchester City bosses have criticised the Premier League for not following the rest of Europe by permitting clubs to use two extra subs to deal with the hectic scheduling caused by coronavirus.

Top flight clubs, including Sheffield United, voted against the proposal in August with many believing the rule only benefitted teams with bigger squads and budgets.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been one of the strongest advocates for allowing five subs

Klopp and Guardiola have argued that players are not being protected but Wilder rejected their stance, claiming they are driven by self-interest.
