'Shame on you, RIP LFC': Furious Liverpool fans protest breakaway European Super League outside Anfield with supporters set to remove flags from the Kop as they say: 'We can no longer support a club which puts financial greed above integrity of the game'

Liverpool supporters have hung banners outside Anfield protesting plans for a European Super League, with one reading 'Shame on you. RIP LFC 1892-2021.'

The Reds are one of six Premier League clubs to have signed up to the new competition, joining Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

The breakaway plot has been condemend by fans as a power and money-grabbing exercise and some have decided to take a stand.
