Sergio Aguero hopes to remain in the Premier League next season if he leaves Manchester City.
The striker’s contract expires in June and no talks have been held over possible new terms. Barcelona are believed to have already made contact with Aguero regarding a potential free transfer.
But Barca’s new president, Joan Laporta, is set for competition, with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea understood to be monitoring developments with the 32-year-old.
Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Aguero, whom they attempted to sign a decade ago when he left Atletico Madrid for City.
