Sean Dyche vows to focus 'on the pitch' and won't be distracted by investigation into alleged financial breach, as Everton prepare for Premier League relegation scrap

Everton manager Sean Dyche has vowed that he will not be affected by news that the club is facing an investigation over alleged financial irregularities.

The club's hierarchy said that they will 'robustly defend' themselves against the charge that Everton broke the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations after overspending in the 2021/22 season.

The Premier League have referred Everton to an independent commission over the alleged breach, making the Toffees the second club to be charged by the organisation over suspected breaking of their financial rules after Manchester City were hit with over 100 allegations of breaches in February.
