Iconic players such as Kaka, Alessandro Del Piero, John Terry and Gilberto Silva played, as did FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
And yet details of the match-up are particularly sparse, despite global stars playing and a boisterous crowd packed into the stands.
Some fans uploaded snippets of match action on Instagram, with one sideline interview showing Terry saying: 'It's nice to get out here and enjoy some sun!
