It’s no secret that Sergio Aguero will leave Manchester City when his contract expires this summer, but it’s not yet known where he’ll end up. Barcelona look the most likely destination now as TYC Sports say they’ve had ‘intense negotiations’ with Aguero and are ‘close to reaching’ an agreement.
Barcelona are leading the race for the 32-year-old’s signature because they don’t have the resources for lucrative signings this summer. El Mundo say the Catalan giants have debts of over €1.2bn, in part due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but also due to overspending on transfers.
