Manchester City are still trying to sign a replacement for Sergio Aguero and had their eye on Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, but Sport say they’re now ‘on the lookout’ for Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann.
The 30-year-old has an uncertain future at the Camp Nou after struggling for form and playing time under Ronald Koeman. Griezmann is a high-earner at cash-strapped Barcelona too, so the Catalans could do with trimming his lofty salary from their out of control wage bill.
Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid for £107m in 2019 and has gone on to make 99 appearances in all competitions, scoring 35 goals with 17 assists.
