Report: Man City ‘contenders’ to sign £52.1m man ‘to replace Sergio Aguero’, PL rivals keen

Manchester City are ‘contenders’ to sign Robert Lewandowski ‘to replace Sergio Aguero’ this summer, according to ESPN, although they will have competition from Chelsea seeking an alternative to Timo Werner.

City will be left with only Gabriel Jesus in attack when Aguero’s contract expires in the coming months, so the Sky Blues need a centre-forward to fill his shoes.

Pep Guardiola doesn’t appear to trust Jesus. He’s only started one Champions League game in the latter stages this season and has scored just five Premier League goals in the last three months.

Aguero has scored 258 goals and made 73 assists in 387 games for City, so he will be a hard player to replace.
