Report: Club could enter talks with Man City over 26 y/o if they fail to sign £50m player

Nathan Ake may have an uncertain future at Manchester City after enduring an injury-hit debut campaign and has been offered an escape route by Arsenal, says Sky Sports News (h/t TEAMtalk).

The 26-year-old spent most of last season on the treatment table and substitutes’ bench, resulting in him being behind John Stones, Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte in the pecking order, so he might struggling for playing time in 2021/22.

Arsenal want to bolster their backline and hope to capitalise on Ake’s situation at the Etihad Stadium if they fail in their pursuit of Ben White.
