Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was put out of his misery and sacked less than 24 hours after Manchester United's absolutely dismal 4-1 defeat to Watford.

As United ended the weekend managerless and down in eighth, their main rivals all underlined their class yet again.

Liverpool showed their class once again with a 4-0 dismantling of Arsenal on Saturday
