Premier League's top-earning footballers are revealed by L'Equipe, with Kevin De Bruyne officially top (although Erling Haaland is the real No 1)... and which bit-part Man United man makes the top five?

L'Equipe have revealed the top five earners in the Premier League, with Manchester City stars leading the way.

The real No 1, as reported by Sportsmail last October, is Erling Haaland, who takes home almost £900,000-a-week when bonuses are included.

Many of the bonus clauses in Haaland's contract are as good as guaranteed, meaning he takes home more than anyone in the division.

L'Equipe say De Bruyne's gross monthly salary is £1.7m-a-month (£425,000-a-week), and put Haaland below on £1.609m-a-month.

Level with the prolific City striker, who has bagged an astonishing 39 goals this season, is David de Gea of Man United.
