Phil Foden has been hailed as 'mesmeric' by Rio Ferdinand after engineering Manchester City's winner against Atletico Madrid.

Pep Guardiola's side clinched a 1-0 win over the LaLiga side int he first leg of their Champions League quarter final thanks to Kevin de Bruyne's 70th-minute strike.

Foden entered the fray in the 68th minute and wasted no time in making an impact as just 80 seconds after coming on he unlocked the Atletico defence to set up De Bruyne.
