It's an old anecdote but Pep Guardiola tells it well in a recent Amazon documentary series dedicated to Diego Simeone.
The year is 2009 and Guardiola is just getting started at Barcelona; Simeone is still coaching in Argentina, some way from taking over Atletico Madrid.
Guardiola says: ‘He came to see a training session and then we talked [about] the way we bring the ball out from the back; how we press high, how we attack in small spaces. And he said something to me that was really good and I think reflects his personality very well.
