Former Manchester City and Everton defender Sylvain Distin believes Pep Guardiola’s transfer business could be a gamble as a number of new recruits have arrived without Premier League experience.

Guardiola’s City have made some eye-catching additions this summer, particularly in the forward ranks, and the club are many pundits’ favourites for the league title thanks to their strength in depth.

However, while Distin supports the signing of players with league familiarity, like Kyle Walker, he admits you never know how long it takes new arrivals to adapt to the Premier League style.
