Pep Guardiola suggests Manchester City will keep an eye on Phil Foden's niggling injuries over the next month as he admits the playmaker has not been given the chance to properly recover from his ankle injury

Pep Guardiola suggested that Manchester City will continue to monitor Phil Foden’s niggling injuries over the next month.

City are confident that they can select Foden, who will train later today, for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Wolves.

The 21-year-old came off at half-time of Tuesday’s Champions League defeat by RB Leipzig after feeling pain in his ankle.

Foden has been working his way back to fitness after suffering an ankle injury last month. Guardiola claimed the player has had no time to allow the issue to properly heal.
