Pep Guardiola lauded the old guard for firing Manchester City to the Carabao Cup after winning his first trophy in England.
Arsenal were humiliated at Wembley with goals from Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and David Silva, with Guardiola heaping praise on the veteran trio.
‘They help to make City what it is right now,’ Guardiola said. ‘It’s special that they scored the three goals and they help us understand what this club means.
‘They won titles and they put the pressure on us to win.
