Marcus Rashford avoids ligament damage in his ankle after limping off in win at Manchester City - but the United forward remains a doubt for Thursday's Europa League showdown with AC Milan

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has not suffered any ligament damage in his ankle after picking up an injury in Sunday's derby win at City.

The 23-year-old was forced off with the problem in the second half at the Etihad and replaced by Mason Greenwood.

It is understood scans showed that Rashford has not suffered any significant damage but is still struggling with heavy bruising and swelling around the joint.
