Manchester City are set to open contract talks with John Stones at the end of the season as the defender continues to impress.
Stones has turned his City career around this season after the club considered selling him just six months ago.
Now Pep Guardiola is keen to tie the in-form defender down to a new deal following his fine performances alongside Ruben Dias at the back, according to The Times.
Stones's current contract expires at the end of next season but the City boss wants to ensure he does not leave the Etihad.
