Manchester City 'to reward veteran Fernandinho with new one-year contract' as Pep Guardiola looks to avoid losing Brazilian for free at the end of the season

Manchester City are set to offer Fernandinho a one-year extension to his contract, according to The Sun.

The Brazilian's current contract expires at the end of the season, and City boss Pep Guardiola won't be keen on letting him go for free in the summer.

He is free to talk to clubs outside of England this week. However, he is reportedly interested in seeing what City have to offer him.
