Manchester City owners buy their NINTH club as they add Belgian second division side Lommel SK to their portfolio and write -off debts of £1.75m... with talks over deal for Ligue 2 side Nancy still ongoing

Manchester City have acquired the ninth club in their growing portfolio with Belgian second-tier side Lommel SK.

Lommel become the second City Football Group team in Europe alongside Girona, with clubs in America, Australia, Japan, Uruguay, China and India.

It is understood CFG are writing off debt worth £1.75million in the takeover and are actively pursuing other avenues over the coming months despite the outbreak of Covid-19.

A deal to purchase Nancy, in Ligue 2, is not dead in the water despite pessimism in France.
