Manchester City owners add NINTH club to their portfolio as they buy Belgian second division side Lommel SK... with City Football Group to wipe out their debts of £1.75m

Manchester City's parent company are set to add a ninth club to their portfolio by buying Belgian second division side Lommel SK.

City Football Group, who are majority owned by Abu Dhabi United and have involvement from China Media Capital, CITIC Capital and Silver Lake, will wipe out Lommel's debts of £1.75million.

Lommel were sixth in the closing stage of the Belgian second tier before the campaign was interrupted by the coronavirus crisis.

Along with the Premier League side, City Football Group own 100 per cent of Melbourne City and Montevideo City Torque.
