Manchester City 'offered the chance to sign David Alaba' in a swap deal with Leroy Sane as the winger looks destined to leave the Etihad for Bayern Munich this summer

Manchester City were offered the chance to sign David Alaba as part of a swap deal with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane, according to reports.

The City winger has been on the sidelines for most of this season after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in the Community Shield, but was nearing a comeback before the coronavirus crisis.

Bayern have been keen on signing him for an extended period and are expected to try and capture him again in the summer.
