Manchester City midfielder Patrick Roberts leaves Celtic after completing medical ahead of return on loan

Celtic are expected to announce the re-signing of Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts later on Monday after the player was pictured leaving the club following a successful medical.

Robertd was a picture of happiness as he was spotted driving off following a day at the the Scottish champions' ground completing his medical and finalising his return in a season-long loan deal

The Hoops' boss Brendan Rodgers has been vigourously chasing the 20-year-old, who was also a summer target for Southampton, Huddersfield and free-spending Nice.

Roberts, who signed for City from Fulham in a deal believed to be in the region of £12million, spent last season on loan at Parkhead.
