Manchester City are reportedly optimistic that England star Jude Bellingham will snub Real Madrid and Liverpool in favour of working under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.
Bellingham cemented his status as the hottest property in global football at the World Cup, where he produced a string of breathtaking displays before England were beaten by France in the quarter-finals.
It was understood that Liverpool were the frontrunners, but in recent days Real Madrid are believed to have overtaken the Reds as favourites to land the once Birmingham City midfielder - and are willing to pay upwards of £100m.
