City threw away a 5-3- first-leg against the French league-leaders, losing 3-1 at Stade Louis II to condemn Pep Guardiola to the earliest European exit of his career.
After first-half goals from Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho had swung the tie back in Monaco's favour, Leroy Sane put City back in the driving seat with his seventh goal of the season 19 minutes from time.



But six minutes later, poor marking allowed Tiemoue Bakayoko to head home a free-kick and send Leonardo Jardim's side into the last eight.
