Rio Ferdinand slammed Manchester City's 'pathetic defending' in their Champions League defeat by Monaco, claiming Pep Guardiola's side lack a defensive 'commander'.

City threw away a 5-3- first-leg against the French league-leaders, losing 3-1 at Stade Louis II to condemn Pep Guardiola to the earliest European exit of his career.
