Manchester City managed to edge out the battle between the Premier League and the Serie A leaders with a 2-1 win against Napoli at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola's side, fresh from their demolition job of Stoke City at the weekend, were in scintilating form again during the opening 20 minutes and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
However, Napoli were handed a lifeline when Kyle Walker conceded a penalty but Ederson was on hand to stop Dries Mertens from converting.
