A bar worker at the Etihad Stadium has been sacked after turning up for his shift wearing a Manchester United shirt on derby day.
Officials at Manchester City were made aware of the worker's ridiculous choice of shirt by angered home supporters on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Taking a picture of the staff member, who was wearing a United away shirt from the 2018-19 season while pulling a pint, a City fan complained: 'Absolute joke @ManCity - letting one of the bar staff in block 315 wear a United shirt on Derby Day #mcfc'
The complaint soon caught the attention of those in authority at the Etihad, who promptly removed the worker from his post.
