Liverpool v Manchester City: Reds fans urged to ‘scare Citizens back to Mancland’ with coach greeting ahead of Champions League encounter

Liverpool fans are being urged to line the Anfield Road and give Manchester City a hostile ‘coach greeting’ ahead of their Champions League quarter-final.

Redmen TV, a Liverpool-supporting social media account, have released a poster telling their fellow Reds to ‘bring your flares and flags, banners and bangers, pints and pyro’.

‘There will be thousands of scouse voices ready to scare em [sic] back to Mancland with their tales between their legs before the match even starts’, the poster continues.

The Daily Mail claim City will express ‘serious concerns’ to police ahead of their visit to Merseyside, and there are fears any action in Liverpool could prompt a similar reaction from City fans when Jurgen Klopp takes his side to the Etihad for the second-leg the following week.
