Liverpool's owner Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are reportedly working on bringing in Benfica technical director Pedro Marques following the arrival of Michael Edwards.
Edwards returned to Liverpool earlier this week under the role of CEO of Football at owners Fenway Sports Group where he will head up daily operations for the club.
Liverpool and FSG now have their eye on acquiring a second football team and look set to dip their toes into the world of multi-club ownership.
According to The Athletic, Marques is being targeted to provide his skills and expertise on such a project.
