Jose Mourinho hopes Harry Kane will return to action for Tottenham’s crunch game against Manchester City on February 13.

Kane injured both of his ankles during Tottenham’s 3-1 defeat by Liverpool on Thursday and subsequently missed their 1-0 loss to Brighton on Sunday.

Kane is awaiting scans to reveal the extent of the damage, but Mourinho claims the striker is optimistic that his injuries are not as severe as his previous ones.

'The news is pretty good news,' Jose said after their loss to Brighton.
