Jose Mourinho hoping Harry Kane will return NEXT WEEK ahead of Everton and Man City clashes... despite Spurs boss admitting 'we were scared' when star man suffered double ankle injury

Jose Mourinho has confirmed Harry Kane is targeting a return to fitness as early as next week with the striker in contention to play against Everton or Manchester City.

The striker suffered a double ankle injury in Spurs' 3-1 defeat by Liverpool last week with Spurs initially fearing he was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

But Mourinho said the 27-year-old's recovery is progressing well and predicted he will be able to play a part in the FA Cup fifth-round tie with Everton next Wednesday or the following league match against Man City.
